I thought it was time to post a pic of myself for those of you who don't know me in person - just on here. Taken this summer in Champaign with my 'Popcorn' leaf.

And the other pic Ken Harris shared with me saying something to the effect that I should have the opportunity to see it. Then send it to the trash barrel.
But as you can see I haven't. Yet. It was taken this summer in Lansing. Pretty sure Olga P. was the one who took the pic as she and a British chap
were sitting across from us. Apparently we both thought something was pretty funny. Wink

Always good to put a face with a name, Reldon. Thanks for posting.

Known here as "Seedseller1" I thought it appropriate to put a face with a name. This is a pic of myself and my dear wife (Linda) descending the stairs to our basement where I grow my seedlings Laughing Laughing Laughing . Taken a couple years back, I look pretty much the same--maybe a few less hairs on the head but I make up for it with a few more pounds around the waist. Linda made me put on my gardening clothes for this pic, I am usually found in a pair of wrangler jeans, a pair of work boots and a scruffy button up work shirt. Linda dresses this way all the time Laughing Laughing Laughing , shes my "Zsa Zsa Gabor" in our own little "Green Acres"--The place to be, we are so blessed.

Mike...always great to put a name with a face. Quite a handsome couple...and I must say, the entry to your seed area is a bit more finished out than mine! Thank you for posting. Rick

Nice pic, Mike. Now I'll know who to be looking for next spring.
But if you're not in your formal seed growing attire I may just drive right by. Again. Wink
Can't wait to see your seed growing area if that's the entrance. Razz

Here's a pic of me and my girls. No good pics of me with plants or fish oddly enough. Since I'm new here I guess I can tell a little about myself. I'm a garden center manager with too many hobbies. We sell 200+ varieties of hostas and 600+ varieties of other perennials retail every year. My personal hosta collection is fairly small (300 varieties) and young. I started in 2002, but really didn't start to pick up a lot of varieties until 2005. (I've picked up 50 or more new varieties a year in the last 3 years) I try to find time to do some crosses, but usually don't get the chance. I did collect seeds from about 6 good crosses in 2008, but didn't get a chance to sow them until late June 2009. The only ones that came up were the huge batch of unmarked Powder Blue crosses. I moved most of my collection this past summer to my in-laws 1 acre lot 2 miles away since my yard is quite small. I mainly have my breeding plants and some sports I'm watching here now. Winter seed growing is out of the question for me, I already have enough to do with the number of aquariums I have (over 60). I do start seeds at work in March though since I have greenhouse space that I can use. No hosta seed this year, but some iris seed. I'm laid off right now, so I'm spending (maybe wasting?) time cleaning fish tanks, playing video games, and posting in forums.

Seems to be a lot of us from WI here. I have to get out and see more gardens this year. My gardens are a mess. Noone wants to see them.

Great picture Woodland Gardens people/dogs and welcome aboard!

It would be fun to put names to the four of you if possible.

Mike - I missed the shot of you and Linda earlier. Looks like you are much more refined then the rest of us. Great shot and just kidding.

I'm pretty sure I've signed my name to all of my posts so far, not sure how I missed doing so on this one. Anyways, starting with me going clockwise: Nick, Tiara, Ashliegh, Diane (my lovely most-times-understanding wife who complains about my fishroom far more than my hostas)

I actually found an ok pic of me with some plants. A mass planting of Caryopteris x clandonensis at Chicago Botanic. I think 2007. I've gained about 20 lbs since then... need to lose at least 50 this year. Confused
