The Flower Phenology Spreadsheet
If you would like to be added as an editor send an email to me...
If you would like to see any additional boxes for information let me know...
This will be a fast and EASY method for us to all enter in information as our hostas begin blooming this year. Then I can send out a spreadsheet file to anybody interested to keep for your own records.
What do you think? _________________ Watching developing scapes- waiting to attack with pollen in HOT, dry UTAH--- Ryan |

If we like this form-- is there anyway to have it "stuck" at the top so we can quickly access it? _________________ Watching developing scapes- waiting to attack with pollen in HOT, dry UTAH--- Ryan |

Great idea, Ryan.
I must be doing something wrong because it won't let me input anything.
Allnitro had the good suggestion of gathering data for plants that had gone through two winter dormancies. Maybe a spot to show whether that is true or not for the particular hosta entered into the database. _________________ Dennis |

Love the Idea Ryan share the workload with the members and have a few of us compile it.
I need this program for my own garden! |

If you enter in a cultivar name as "testing" I can delete it later---- play with it until we get this all working. I will add the second dormancy column!
In addition--- I have noticed that it does take about 5 minutes for the information to show up on the spreadsheet. So it is not an IMMEDIATE change. If you make any mistakes, I think I can take care of them. Like I said--- enter testing as a cultivar name and play OR start making your real entries!
I see more people have been entering data than just me-- IT WORKS! _________________ Watching developing scapes- waiting to attack with pollen in HOT, dry UTAH--- Ryan |

Ryan, I got it to work, so you now have your first two entries, although the time stamp didn't seem to work.
Do you want a column for the contributor of the information? _________________ Dennis |

I can add that. I hope this is what others had in mind.
Dennis,
You have discovered the "spreadsheet" entry-- this is why the timestamp doesn't work. I actually don't think the timestamp is important but I don't know how to remove it.
There are two ways to enter the information-
1- The Form
2- The Spreadsheet
I have added a sort so once the date is added it should sort the hostas according to the date the flower opened. First to last. _________________ Watching developing scapes- waiting to attack with pollen in HOT, dry UTAH--- Ryan |

I can't wait to see all the data that we collect over this coming season. Many thanks to those that are inputting information. When I have BLOOMS I will start doing the same... but for now I am still waiting. _________________ Watching developing scapes- waiting to attack with pollen in HOT, dry UTAH--- Ryan |

I know that sometimes the spreadsheet is not showing up--- but from what I can tell, the form is still recording the data. So you can still input it. Hopefully the spreadsheet gets back going full blower soon. No worries.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
If you have any questions you can let me know-- or I can check and make sure that the data is input! _________________ Watching developing scapes- waiting to attack with pollen in HOT, dry UTAH--- Ryan |

Thanks to Sanannie who just posted 37 flowering dates and to everyone else who has contributed to the phenology database that Ryan set up this year. _________________ Dennis |

My busy schedule is not even allowing me time to update my own flowers on the database-- however I do have time to keep a paper record while I am hybridizing in the morning--- got to prioritize right? I will add my data soon! Yes, thanks to all that are participating!
