
Donald Trump paid upright $750 (£580) in federal earnings tax both in 2016, the twelve months he ran for the US presidency, and in his first twelve months in the White Home, the Unusual York Times says.
The newspaper – which says it bought tax records for Mr Trump and his firms over two a long time – furthermore says that he paid no earnings taxes at all in 10 of the earlier 15 years.
The records show “chronic losses and years of tax avoidance”, it says.
Mr Trump called the report “incorrect files”.
